Heather Blasko

Heather has more than three decades of experience as a synchro skating director, coach, and competitor. She was both owner/director and coach of the Lakeland SC synchro program for 15 years, where her teams won the Open Juvenile division championship in 1999, 2006 and 2010. Her adult team at Detroit SC also won the 2006 National Championship. In 2017, her ONYX Novice team qualified for the National Championships.

As a synchro skater, Heather has competed at the Novice, Senior and Adult levels for the original Detroit Capets and later Team Elan at DSC, earning multiple national championships with her teams. She holds the Gold Dance test, 7th Figure Test and Novice Freestyle. She's an MSU grad in journalism and works part-time for New Day Foundation, a cancer support nonprofit.
